Hi. I posted originally here:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/627901/how-can-i-tell-if-i-am-being-scammed-by-impostor-techs/

I removed the AVG they installed. My concern is, if this laptop here is infected, would it also endanger the other computers in the house that are on same network?

What should I do now?

I can't really think, there are so many things to do, like change all the passwords everywhere which isn't so easy on a tablet. Everything is moving so slowly, my ADD brain is in overdrive, and I really need this computer.

It is right now acting fast and normal again after I got rid of the AVG Cloud thing. Maybe the danger has passed and I should just focus on getting all my passwords changed? There are many, oh so many. Sniff.

Would a System Restore help? I was going to try it but I can't find it. They really cleaned me out. They took things that I don't even know what they were.

I looked for System Restore (which they also did, but I don;t know what date they used), but I don't see it anymore. Isn't it supposed to be under Accessories?

I didn't do a System Restore because if there was a virus in my system which I now doubt but IF then I might  bring it back that way?

Anyway, I was online when a popup appeared:

Yes I thought of it but I don't know when I got it. If I ever got infected in the first place.

Hi probably best to just get a deeper look and see what is in here.
Start at step 6.

Please follow this Preparation Guide and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.
