Is his account a admin account? Or do you just need admin rights to a user account? If using a normal user account, see here on how to enable the Admin account to login to to reset his user password. If he is using a admin account, see here to check if bitlocker is encrypting the drive.

I got a question. How come your bother isn't asking the question?

I don't even know if you ask questions like this in this forum but even if you can, I  don't feel comfortable telling you how to reset the admin password. He or you can probably take the PC to a local computer shop so they can reset the password.

Yea, thats why I stopped from mentioning the hack to get around a actual admin lock. I need to know if such discussion is allowed on board.
