I was doing a search on some information and noticed that a pup-up came up saying my computer was on risk of viruses. The pop-up wanted me to scan.

I hit the X to close the pop-up and noticed that my norton antivirus was been disabled by this pop-up and programs started to install. At this point I unplug my computer off the internet. After that I have experienced pop-ups every 5 minutes or so.

I tried all the steps listed in the site to remove trojans or virus from my computer, also some of the similar threads solutions for members and I still keep getting pop-up ads.

popups;

Add remove programs - remove logitech desktop messenger
==================
Download AlcanShorty

http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?a...ils&f_id=13

to your desktop.

Double click the alcanShorty.exe file and follow prompts.
It will make a folder on desktop called Alcan Shorty
Open the folder & double click the run.bat

This will download a file called BFU.exe and a BFU script. If your firewall asks for permission to connect then allow it.

A message box will pop up saying complete. Press OK
Then BFU.exe will open.

Select the option to show log at completion.

Execute the script by clicking the Execute button.
Note that you should see a progress bar while the script is being executed.

When the script has finished press copy & that will make a copy of the report in your clipboard.
Paste that log back here with a new HJT log.
