So my computer kept crashing and I had no clue why, so I checked for updates and found several were available.  Now, I obviously don't want them to install automatically, but every version of Windows before sent me a notification whenever a new update was available.  It seems Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided that was an unnecessary feature.  So I checked the update settings so I could be notified when an update was available: no such option.  So I checked the notifications settings and guess what?  NO SUCH OPTION.

Is there a way to make Windows 10 behave itself?  Because this is just absurd.
