so i just got windows 8.1 pro full version and i have been struggling with it for one updates are going in a never ending search and

seemingly never looking for updates and i tried to get a program to install the updates manually but it wont work because it said it needs

.net frame work so i install .net frame work but the program didnt detect the .net frame work so i tried reinstalling windows 8.1 pro but it

still is giving me the same problem also i notice that after the first installation windows 8.1 will freeze then i restart then i see a screen

that tells me to insert boot media and when i go into the bios to see if the hard drive is detected its not but then i restart and then

windows 8.1 pro loads like normal and the hard drive is then detected in the bios

but still with the update problems and .net frame work problems continue i tried sfc /scannow it said everything

was okay then i tried microsoft fix it it did detect problems i cant remember what they were but it said it fixed them so i started microsoft update still never finishes so i run

fix it again it still detects problems and says there fixed i try it again the same thing i tried this 3 times but still not fixed

so i dont know what else i can do?

Please post the results in your topic.  That's what this forum is for.  If the results were as large as you average sfc /scannow log I could understand using a host website to post it, but this isn't any where near that size.

One of the problems with the updates is the fact that with all of the upgrades to Windows 10 Microsoft has been slammed updates for this and it appears that they have made these updates a priority over those for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.  And then there are the usual smafus Microsoft is creating with updates that have bugs.  Once you get past all of this there are the problems which are related to the operating system.  But what you did normally shouldn't have any direct effect on the wifi.

Please download and install Windows Repair (All in one).

Notice:  This will take a long time to run, please allow for at least an hour for this to complete.  Stopping this can cause damage to the operating system.

When you open the Windows Repair (All in one) you will see tabs labeled Steps 1. through 5.  Then Repairs and Settings.  2. through 4. are optional.

Step 1.  Do a Proper Power Reset.  This is impotant and not optional.

Step 2.  Clean Your System From Infections (Optional).  This option will run Malwarebytes Antimalware if you choose to.

Step 3.  Check File System (Optional), this will give you the option to see if you need to run chkdsk or the option to run chkdsk.

Step 4.  System File Check (sfc /scannow), (Optional).

Step 5.  Registry Backup & System Restore.  This is not optional.

When the Repair has finished you will be asked if you want to restart your computer, click on Yes.

After the computer is restarted you will need to reopen Windows Repair and go to Settings

Settings.  On this page you will see Log Location, in the same section you will find Open Log Folder.  Click on Open Log Folder, this will open the log files, double click on this, then click on _Windows_Repair_Log.  Copy the log and then paste it in your topic.
