my dad upgraded iobit program they told him to call this number because his pc was hacked via ip adress and he had to pay 499 for ip protection and download stuff not detectable by the hackers. They said his ip was 95 percent compromised and they are microsoft certified techs.

I do not trust IOBit (EvonSoft.com) products due to the vendor's past history and dubious practices in regards to stealing from Malwarebytes. Please read these BC discussion topics. You may want to read some of the user comments posted on the Complaints Board to see why there are so many concerns by others regarding this product.

Hello! My name is The Codesee, nice to meet you    :)

I would never install an IOBIT product on my computer due to their past history as mentioned by quietman7. I suspect your computer is infected/has PUP's (potentially unwanted programs) caused by IOBIT. Please follow the steps below.

:step1: Please download MiniToolBox to your desktop

1. Double click MiniToolBox

2. Select the items below and press go

3. Post the log in your next reply

  • List Installed Programs
  • List Restore Points
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • Flush DNS
:step2: Please download Security Check to your desktop

1. Double click SecurityCheck and follow the on-screen instructions.

2. A log should open called checkup.txt.

3. Post the log in your next reply

:step3: Please download TFC (Temp File Cleaner) to your desktop

1. Close all open applications

2. Double click TFC

3. Click the start button and the program will run

4. When done, press OK to restart your computer

Logs I expect in your next reply:

  1. MiniToolBox Log
  2. Security Check Log

Go to >>  Ultimate List of Uninstallers - SingularLabs  >  Select Security Software ->> Select item  [ 17 ] >> IObit > Info (if you want information) > or just  Tool  to remove the program

This will remove the rest of the program that is "often" left behind after you Delete the program.. I use it all the time and it works.  :thumbup2:

Stay away from most Chinese based Antivirus and Antimalware programs where you can !!

If you still think you are infected, please continue with The_Codesee to test your computer for other infections ..

Thank You ..
