Over the last few days, I've noticed that my internet browser (Chrome) is slow loading pages e.g and freezes randomly for a few seconds. I've also noticed that applications like Windows Explorer are taking ages to open.

I have attached FRST.txt and Addition.txt

You have many such errors on your addition.txt log.

Error: (09/15/2016 03:21:50 PM) (Source: EventLog) (EventID: 6008) (User: )
Description: The previous system shutdown at 07:55:55 on ‎15/‎09/‎2016 was unexpected.

If you Google this string EventID: 6008 you will find that it can be caused by many things.

Let see what I can find.
Please download MiniToolBox to Desktop and run it.

Check mark the following boxes:

  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings

Possibly caused by some hardware problem.

Run the tool suggested on this page.

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff700221.aspx

Keep me posted of the results.

I ran the tool and got this warning in Event Viewer:

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing.  HRESULT was 800706e5 from line 75 of d:\w7rtm\com\complus\src\events\tier2\security.cpp.  This warning may be expected if the computer is low on resources.  If the computer is not low on resources, and these warnings persist, it may indicate a problem in the COM+ Event System.

I noticed you told me to select '30 - Repair Windows 8/10 COM+ Unmarshalers' Will this work for me as I'm using Windows 7?

My computer froze when on Chrome and I had to force it to close through Task Manager. I got these two errors - what should I do?
