i am running windows xp. i have an 80 gig external hard drive and everytime i connect it to the usb port, the ati display driver stops working. how do i fix this?

Have you, downloaded the latest ATI driver? Unzip them into a folder under C:\? Uninstall the old drivers and install the latest drivers?
