Haven't used my HP in almost 2 years...can I reboot to factory settings and clear it completely... Locked out??

I believe you can!  Once activated, that factory restore will put everything on that hard-drive back to The Way it was when the computer left the factory; no more personal accounts, no more data folders and files -- if any on the OS partition; that is what you want, correct?
