Hello I got this computer and it will turn on for about 7 seconds then shut off for 5 then turn back on for 7 in that order. Can anyone tell me what is going on with this computer and why it keeps doing that. It has no operating system on it because its a new motherboard. I was going to add windows 7 to it but cant get it to boot up long enough to do so.

Is it an Old pc / Secondhand / or Brand New ?

Could be a Power Issue PSU , a short somewhere , also it may be the CPU shutting down at boot { Heat } reapply some fresh thermal paste.

Posting the Model Info / Mobo / Etc would also help others to Help you further.

You can download Speccy from BC and post the Results of the PC.

Not Heat in the House ? When you start the PC heat is generated on the Processor , if it gets hot it will shutdown and restart.

I would return the PC to whoever you bought it from as if its New , warranty should be covered.

And it should be able to boot to Bios quite easily being new and no operating system installed.

Again i would return it .
