Hello Community,

I'm so new to this that I have spent ages just trying to figure out how to introduce myself and even now, I am not sure if this is the right way to do it. if it works, I'm in but if not, I guess I'll have to try again. Should I sing my name or what is the protocol? Is it added automatically? Sorry to be so uneducated.

Congratulations! You have made your first post, and did a good job! If you are new to forums in general, you can find many useful short articles in the New User Orientation forum.

It is a matter of choice whether you use a closing signature or not, though most members seem to prefer doing so. In general, you cannot go too far wrong if you consider a forum post to be more like an E-mail than, for example, a conversation.

Yes, this is the correct way to introduce yourself. As jgweed said, you can look in the New User Orientation forum. Welcome to Bleeping Computer by the way. :flowers:
