Wow.......just updated my Chrome browser this morning and it really does seem as fast as lightning, even in spite of the fact that I am not subscribed to the fastest broadband connection package available through my ISP!

My eyes aren't the best, but I'll gladly suffer the smaller toolbar icons and the search lists font size if it really is this much faster!

In the past whenever I've updated my browser, it has always seemed a little quicker, at least for a while. But, to me at least, this has always turned out to be almost like a 'placebo' effect of thinking 'well it's new so it's bound to be better/faster'! 24 hours or so later, I'm generally moaning about my slow connection again!

Someone please tell me this latest Chrome update really is faster and improved....or is it just me??

Im a rookie and purely recreational pc user. Im utterly obsessed with security (even though I consider myself a safe and law-abiding internet user!) and run a combo of the following freeware security suites.....

Windows Defender/firewall

Regular scans with Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, JRT, HitmanPro
