After updating to W10 Anniversary update a couple weeks ago I cannot render a video in Camtasia or Sony Vegas pro 13.

Halfway through rendering my computer freezes and then Bam! BSOD.  This seems to be the only time I get BSOD. Other

than one other time the other day it happened while trying to format a thumb drive.

If someone could please help me out with this Id greatly appreciate it!  will reply immediately. thanks :bubbles:

Please run this report collecting tool so that we can provide a complete analysis: (from the pinned topic at the top of the forum)   http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/
FYI - I don't often use the Perfmon report, so if it doesn't work please just let me know.
NOTE:  On problem systems it can take up to 20 minutes for the log files to complete.  Please be patient and let it run.

If you still have problems with it running, there's an alternate tool here (direct download link):  https://github.com/blueelvis/BSOD-Inspector/releases/download/1.0.5/BSODInspector-1.0.5.exe

NOTE:
Please zip up the (.ZIP) files - do not use .RAR or other compression utilities.
.ZIP is the type file that can be uploaded to the forums.

While waiting for a reply, please start on these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 1202) dates from 2014.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

From the reports, this looks to be a hardware/compatibility/low-level driver problem.  Possibly with one of your USB devices (even more guesswork - maybe an HID device?).

What devices are connected to your USB ports?

Which are connected to the USB 3 and which are connected to the USB 2?

If you use a USB mouse/keyboard, do you have a spare that you can test with?

The test here is to remove the USB devices (or use a different one) and see if that helps.

Also, if using a USB mouse/keyboard, plug them into different ports to see if the problem recurs there.

The driver for your Avnex Ltd. Virtual Audio Device dates from 2008.

Please uninstall the program through Control Panel...Programs and Features

Beyond that, start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please complete them all and let us know the results.

This is a fairly busy forum with limited staffing.  We try to get to all the posts, but it takes time.

Asus BIOS' are a real pain.

As I recall, you have to go into the BIOS/UEFI and select the BIOS update tool - then you can load/flash the bios from there.

Beyond that, I'd suggest checking the Asus support site for detailed instructions for updating the BIOS

Each system is different - so each has different capabilities and abilities

Reinstalling Windows is a definite option - but if it's a hardware issue, that won't fix it (but you'll be more sure that it's a hardware issue then)..
Don't forget to backup your data first - then go for it.
Good luck!

But, I would first suggest disconnecting as much of the USB stuff as you can, particularly the USB hub

Ensure that the mouse and keyboard are connected to USB 2.0 ports.

And don't use a USB wifi adapter:

I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 and later systems - using older drivers with them is almost certain to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have the latest W7/8/8.1/10 drivers - DO NOT use older drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

It's OK to be frustrated, this is a very difficult situation for most people.

As for understanding all of this, then you'd have to be like me - spending way too much time behind the keyboard! :0)

We'll help you work your way through this and find a resolution.

Great News! I just installed the new "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3189866)."

Literally an hour ago before I got the update I tried rendering a few videos for bleeps and giggles only to be greeted by the same ol' BSOD

immediately after installing the update I tried to render another video again for even more bleeps and giggles and No Blue Screen! The Video rendered quickly and completed!

First time since the Ann. Update.

My problems with rendering all began in first place with the Windows Anniversary update so maybe hopefully this Cumulative Update fixed the problem...Fingers crossed :bananas:
