every time my laptop starts a display window says Access to path C:\WINDOWS\system32\extrat.bat is denied. The problem is that file does not exsist. How do I keep it from trying to open? Or should this file be on my laptop?

Do you mean extract.bat?

Do you have the metadata extraction tool installed on this computer?
