Backstory: Well, my roommate moved out and he was crazy and had a gaming PC and laptop and once he bought the laptop, he never used the PC again... soo I had no reason to upgrade/purchase - but now that I'm roommateless I have an ancient machine that was a gift maybe 7 years ago.. LOL needless to say with rent being solo now I'm looking to make the old ancient tome just be able to run things better. Like it plays League at 25fps with the onboard graphics at low(and it'll dip below that with certain champions in the game), I'm only hoping for games like league to run at 60FPS on LOW

and it needs to cost less than $100

Here is my computer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01738804

I'm thinking of getting

Gigabyte AMD Radeon R7 240 GDDR3-2GB DVI-D/HDMI/D-SUB OC Video Graphics Cards GV-R724OC-2GI REV2.0 https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GDDR3-2GB-Graphics-GV-R724OC-2GI-REV2-0/dp/B00JRSPXMQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 with EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W, 3 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H33SFJU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

will I encounter any issues? I haven't upgraded a computer since.... like 2004 so I decided to come ask

This is also an option based on price?

EVGA GeForce GT 730 1GB DDR3 128bit DVI/HDMI/VGA Low Profile Graphics Card 01G-P3-2730-KR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L5GZOW2/ref=twister_B00TXDX7XM

Open to suggestions but yeah a new PC/laptop isn't happening anytime soon, and I miss League without FPS issues and other basic steam gaming... Nothing crazy here.

I wouldn't buy either of those gpu's. Their price to performance is terrible as compared to a slightly more expensive gpu. I would get a R7 360
