Hello everyone. this is my first time posting on a forum.

First I've always wondered why when you download a program and put the shortcut icon on the desktop, "most" of the programs put an file folder associated with it. Why ? Is it possible to hide these

Thanks in advance....

Welcome to Bleeping Computer forums.

If you want to delete the shortcut created by program you can do so but this will not uninstall the program you can also hide anything out of site within Windows right click file or shortcut of a program and select "Properties" from context menu and from General tab place a check mark for Hidden click Apply and Ok buttons. You may have to refresh the Desktop to make the file or shortcut you have hidden to take affect.
