Dear all,

I have an error message on a couple of Dell machines, one is a desktop the other is a laptop, they are both Win 7 x64 with Office 2013 x32, both machines have pegasus capital gold accounts software.

They are both coming up with the error above, I will attach a pic so you can see it.

I have scanned the machine for infections, jrt, roguekiller, rkill, process explorer, autoruns, malwarebytes, I do think the machine is clean.

can't see anything in the event log that looks like that error, the error is sporadic so not something I can easily repeat, I have also googled until I am blue in the face, I can't find that particular error.

Hoping someone else has seen it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Morph :)

Lets get some more information using Speccy and MiniToolBox:

Collecting Information using Speccy

Download and open Speccy (This is a portable version because the installer bundles unwanted programs)

You will see a spinning circle at the bottom. Wait for it to finish and disappear

eqIYiAB.png

Go to File > Publish Snapshot

A warning will appear of publishing the snapshot, click Yes

Now, a window will come, and click on Copy to Clipboard and paste it into your next reply

3Al62Pm.pngMiniToolBox

Download MiniToolBox and move the executable file to your Desktop if you have deleted MiniToolBox from using it before, otherwise skip this step

Right-click on MiniToolBox.exe and select Spcusrh.pngRun as Administrator

Check the following options:

  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Once this is done, click on Go and wait for the scan to complete

Once the scan is complete, a log will open.

Please copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply

Are you using Internet explorer when you get this message?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Is it the 64-bit or the 32-bit version?

Are there any other 32-bit programs being used with these two computer?

Probably 32 off the top of my head, byt surely it would come up with a different message if that was case, point towards iexplore or something.

Pegasus is probably 32but and office.

Please download MiniToolBox to your desktop.

Right-click on MiniToolBox.exe and select Run as Administrator.

You will see an image like the one below.

minitoolbox_zps7byuwkla.png

Click on the following checkbox only:

• List Installed Programs

Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, then copy it and paste it in your topic.

Please post the Malwarbytes log.
To find your Malwarebytes log, download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop.

To open the log double click on mbam-check.exe on your desktop.  Copy and paste the log in your topic.

If you follow the instructions for RKill you wind up with a log similar to the one below.  Please copy and paste it in your topic.

rkill%20log_zpslyroibfx.png

You may not be able to capture the entire log in one image, so you will probably need to make two or three images to produce the entire log.

If you had followed the instructions for the Speccy Snapshot correctly you would have created a link in your topic like the one below.

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/8k0BqNJFZXXW3Mg0pYZvkf7

The format this provides is much easier to read.

Why do you have your updates disabled?

There is another problem, you have ESET NOD32 running and Windows Defender is still enabled.  In Windows 10 Windows Defender is suppose to disable itself when another antivirus is installed.  I would suggest that you open the Control Panel and then open Windows Defender to make sure if it isn't disabled.

Sorry I must have misunderstood you as you said copy the text, not copy the link, incidentally (this is why it took a little while for the second log) I had to remove any info like serial numbers and that kind of thing, which the other way does not allow.

I am not sure why it is saying they are not configured as I would not have turned them off, I think they must be on because further through the log there have been hotfixes yesterday and last month, that installed and they weren't done manually.

I will disable defender and check the updates on Monday, I contacted the owner and she has just shut it down so I cannot get access until after the weekend.

The information you saw is different from what is included in the Speecy Snapshot you post.  If you click on the speccy link in my last post you will see what is included and what has not been posted.  I would never ask any member to post sensitive information.  Moderators will delete any personal information that shouldn't be posted.  The only thing that could even be remotely considered to be personal is your computer name is listed.

You still have ESET NOD32 installed, correct?
