Please take attention,

CryptMIC or CryptXXX is a serious virus, many computer is infected in recently.

I know one guy, my friend's friend, whose data is encrypted by CryptMIC. The hacker asked him to pay money for the password.

He is poor and he can't afford to pay for. He lost all the files which he has kept for about ten years. My friend told me that he is very sad recently, he also try to decrypt all the files, but he failed at last. He choose to end his life..... We are very sorry to hear about this news.

My friend told me a lot thing because he know my computer was also infected by CryptMIC. He just want to know if everything is well for me.

Let's pray for that guy. I think we can do something for him. We can provide informations about CryptMIC/CryptXXX.

Ex. the website, bitcoin-adress and other thing. As more and more information is collected, maybe some information is useful for helping the international police to find the crime. This is a suggestion. Come on guys.

CrypMIC mimics CryptXXX in terms of entry point, ransom notes (README.TXT, README.HTML, README.BMP) and payment sites but it does not append an extension to encrypted files. CrypMic (like TeslaCrypt v4.0) is identified by unique hex patterns in the file header despite having no file extension.Unfortunately, I am not aware of any way to decrypt CrypMIC encrypted data without paying the ransom.

There is an ongoing discussion in this topic where you can ask questions and seek further assistance. Other victims have been directed there to share information, experiences and suggestions.Rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in the above support topic discussion...it includes experiences by experts, a variety of IT consultants, end users and company reps who have been affected by ransomware infections. Doing that will also ensure you receive proper assistance from our crypto malware experts since they may not see this thread. To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
