Just joined up as this seems like a friendly and useful site to be a part of. A bit about me:

I've been using computers for more years than I care to remember, i.e. since before the IBM PC was thought of. I verged from being an electronic design engineer into software, 4 bit micros to 8 bit to 32 bit and now 64 bit, all assembly code of course. I'm retired now but still keep my hand in. These days, although I still write a bit of code for fun, I use computers for writing music, which is my first love, and also for doing a bit of CGI, it keeps my built in computer ticking over, sometimes too fast.

Anyway, I look forward to joining in.
