hi i hope this is the right forum, for no apparent reason i can not sign in on my other laptop,it will not recognize my long time password. I can click on guest but not get into mine. please help thank you

This is not an issue that there is much help for.  You need to have the correct username and password to login to windows 7.  I would suggest that you double check your username (perhaps you need to include the domain name if on a domain). 

And second and more likely double check capslock or numlock and see that you have not mistyped your password.

There is a possibility that your administrator account is corrupt.  Try creating a new administrator account and see if this works.  If this is the case you can transfer your user profile to the new account.


Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

hi thank you for the help, this is kinda odd but this is what i tried . I started in safe mode and it took my password then to make sure i went back to a restore point and restart it worked although im more puzzled lol thank you again
