"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly." Please assist

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.


I wanted to know if anyone has ran into this issue.


"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."


This error pops up every time I try to open up Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, or Power Point.


I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the error still continues. I have ran Windows Updates to see if that will help, but to no a vale.


When I run the program in safe mode, the program works fine and when I check out the Add-Ins in options, their's nothing checked as far as third party add-ins.



Any idea of what it could be and how I can fix this?

Try using a different user account on the computer (you might have to create one if you don't already have another user account). Does the same problem happen with that different user account?

I have a wild possibility.  Something similar happened to me awhile back.  In short, while my 3rd party firewall, anti-virus, anti-malware programs existed and operated - 90% of my MS Office 2016 failed to load.  Microsoft TS had me remove that 3rd party stuff, activate and run only MS firewall and either MSE or WD [I had Windows 8 at that time] -- and MS Office 2016 worked fine.  After installing and activating my 3rd party stuff again -- no more MS Office 2016.  I gave it away, went with Lebre & Open office suites, never looked back.  I mention all of that 'cause something similar might be happening to your computer.
