Hi guys

So.. I am running windows 7 on an HP laptop and I have this weird problem where my laptop screen temporarily turns full white (no flickering) when I open a full-screen application or when I switch between applications via alt + tab.. The white screen is only external meaning that all the application in the computer is running fine with no freezing or looping ( like when I open a game I can hear the music and the beeps that are made when I move my mouse over the menu options--) and as far as a screenshot goes i guess nothing can be shown seen a print-screen would show my normal background... Once the white screen appears it resolves itself within 3-5 seconds oh and I should mention that when I had Windows 8.1 installed this problem was less severe... with windows 7 its a bit more persistent.

My specifications are,

Intel i7 4500u processor

Intel Graphics 4400 2 GB
Nvidia GT 740M GB - card switches to this while gaming

1 TB of HDD

I suspect there's some confusion in the system that can't find the proper display.  Using on board graphics and switching to the Nvidia and back can cause some confusion.  It would be interesting to see what's happening with the task manager during the blank display, if the TM will remain on the top.
