Hello there,

i thought i was quite sensible about malware and security, i hadn´t had any major Problems for about 10 years in regard to that.

Three weeks ago something strange happened, two of my family members noticed that my phone number was linked to a facebook

messenger account, witch led them to a facebook profile which is quite bad ideology-wise (it´s a racist nazi profile which stands contrary to

my own worldview). I never used messenger and only had an anonymous facebook profile to view my brothers pics and stuff.

I wrote to facebook and the european internet Agency, but they won´t help. I became suspicious and think there might be some bad malware on my PC.

For security i use Panda Security and malwarebytes and windows defender, which didn´t turn up anything after scans.

Can someone go over my logs? I tried it myself but feel not educated enough to find what i´m looking for, if there is something.

What do you need apart from the hijackthis log? Thanks in advance, this stuff is messing with me and i´m trying to learn more about security, but feel too inexperienced.

Hi & :welcome: to Bleeping Computer Forums!
My name is Jürgen and I will be assisting you with your Malware related problems. :warrior:

Before we move on, please read the following points carefully: :exclame:
  • My native language isn't English. So please do not use slang or idioms. It could be hard for me to read. Thanks for your understanding.
  • Please read my instructions completely. If there is anything that you do not understand kindly ask before proceeding.
  • Perform everything in the correct order. Sometimes one step requires the previous one.
  • If you have any problems while you are follow my instructions, Stop there and tell me the exact nature of your problem.
  • If you have illegal/cracked software, cracks, keygens, etc. on the system, please remove or uninstall them now!
  • Do not run any other scans without instruction or Add/ Remove Software unless I tell you to do so. This would change the output of our tools and could be confusing for me.
  • Post all Logfiles as a reply rather than as an attachment unless I specifically ask you. If you can not post all logfiles in one reply, feel free to use more posts.
  • If I don't hear from you within 5 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.
  • If I don't reply within 24 hours please PM me!
  • Stay with me. I will give you some advice about prevention after the cleanup process. Absence of symptoms does not always mean the computer is clean.
Step 1

Please run a FRST scan. This will help us diagnose your problem.

frst.pngfrstscan.png
Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
(If you are not sure which version (32-/64-bit) applies to your system, download and try to start both of them as just the right one will run.)
  • Start FRST with administator privileges.
  • Make sure the option Addition.txt is checked and press the Scan button.
  • When finished, FRST will produce two logs (FRST.txt and Addition.txt) in the same directory the tool was run from.
  • Please copy and paste these logs in your next reply.

Hello deeprybka,

thank you for your reply.

I decided it would be best, to wipe my ssd and reinstall windows on my desktop.

After that i updated all important passwords and made a third email account.

Subsequently i will do a fresh windows install on my laptop and reinstall android on my handy,

till then i won´t connect to my wireless network with those two devices. Next step after that will be a new

phone number.

Are you preferring/recommending any anti malware program? Any suggestions for security improvement?

Which topics should i read up on to be more confident about my online security?

I would really appreciate your input, i was enjoying to troll the bleep out of some Scammers on dating platforms

and what would be most likely paid government propaganda tools for the last few weeks. I will abstain from that till i get

more knowledge how to protect myself from intrusion.

Cheers,

SilentWeasel

OK. :)

Regarding Antivirus & Anti-Malware:

ESS.pngFor a paid solution, my choice is ESET Smart Security and Malwarebytes.

Tips

I recommend to read and follow the "16 simple and easy ways to keep your computer safe and secure on the Internet" (Link) by Lawrence Abrams.
