Hi I've brought an Asus h81m-k motherboard and I'm planning on using an Intel core i3 4150 cup but the Asus website says I have to use a 4th gen cpu tool to update the bios and was wondering could anyone help me get my head round this as I'm new to updating bios and have never done it before thank you

Hi :welcome: to BleepingComputer

Do you know the actual BIOS/UEFI version you have now?

If you access the UEFI during Boot using the F2 key if I'm not mistaken it should be easy to check the version on first screen.

Ok. On the bottom of the BIOS screen it should have a line with Version 2.xx.xxx Copyright ©... what is the version you see there?
