Hi everyone.  I am new here but not new to technology.

As for the significance of my user name.

I will turn it into a question.

Can anyone figure out the significance of my user name?

Clue.

I am a semi-retired physician with an interest in just about everything, the grandson of the individual responsible for my user name.

:welcome: to Bleeping Computer.

As a new member be sure to read the Welcome to Bleeping Computer! Guide and the following...

In a RGB color space, hex #124c41 is composed of 7.1% red, 29.8% green and 25.5% blue. Whereas in a CMYK color space, it is composed of 76.3% cyan, 0% magenta, 14.5% yellow and 70.2% black.

or 124c41 is related to an old science fiction novel...maybe your favorite book.

Close, getting warm.  The name of the novel is actually Ralph124C41+,  As you know, I could not put + in the user name.

My grandfather wrote that novel.  He is the Father of Science Fiction who coined the term, originally sientifiction, for whom the Hugo Award is named.  Many things you take fro granted like Skype, cell phones, radio and television were predicted by him.  He was a promoter  of science, amateur radio, and was a fiend and college of Tesla, Marconi, Edison, Goddard, Sarnoff, and Deforest (inventor of the vacuum tube.)  If it were not for him publishing Tesla's autobiography, My Inventions in his magazine, the Electrical Experimenter, the world wold not know much about Tesla.s early life or Wardyncluff.  My grandfather started out as an inventor then he became a publisher. He was a sear.  I am trying to better define and promote his legacy.
