How do I find out what motherboard  I have in my Dell Optiplex 390
I want to know. If I can push my system to take 8GB more in my system?

Your exact question is not clear to me - the system can accept up to 8GB of RAM. Are you hoping to find an alternative higher capacity board?

The motherboard you have in an unmodified Dell OptiPlex 390 will be a "Dell OptiPlex 390" motherboard - as these are the only motherboards fitted by Dell to an OptiPlex 390 - the only variations will be for the 3 sizes of case that Dell produced (Mini Tower, Desktop & Small Format Factor).

should provide you with all the info you require (& yes it as 8GB max for all sizes, 4GB in each of 2 slots)
