printer problem

Every time I set my printer to be the one in use the tick disappears and is replaced by an exclamation mark and the printer won't print. Troubleshoot says there is a problem in the Que preventing this but even though I clear the Que I get the same message.

Try disconnecting the printer from the system (and power)...rebooting,then reconnecting printer and installing per the manufacturer instructions.
