Hello, I have a question about my daughters Dell. This might be simple but Dells are different sometimes.

This is a desktop and has a network card internal. I can get on the wireless easy but it will not connect to the using the ethernet cable from the router. She said they hooked to the router using a laptop using the cable. Is there something simple on Dells that I am overlooking. Thanks

Might be that the cable is faulty.
