I have just inherited my brothers old computer. It seems to run fine, however, it appears as if it underwent a thorough cleaning at one point though I suspect it went unfinished, there is an awful lot of clutter. What is the best way to proceed? Windows 7, 64 bit.

- Run Piriform's Ccleaner, the build-in "Disk Clean Up"  tool.

- If you don't know what a program does then GOOGLE it.

Best thing to do, IMO, when taking possession of a system formerly used by someone else...would be a clean install of the O/S.
