Hi there,

I have a problem with my PC, whenever I start playing games, after a few seconds the screen would display random garbled graphics like bunch of stripes, for like 3 seconds then PC restarts by itself. I couldn't play any game I used to play. :( A few times I hear a weird sound from the motherboard during this 3 second display, then PC shuts down and restarts.

Sometimes, when I'm not playing games, random restarts happen when watching a video, or after like 3 hours of doing some browsing/typing.

I really have no idea how to read system crash messages or how to get them. Hope someone can guide me on the steps I need to follow so someone could check them for me please.

Here's my speccy: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/gv5HXDi4v6UoRwPCsJ0ImkI

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

WhoCrashed shows hardware/compatibiltiy/low-level driver errors.

More info on the STOP 0x124 errors here:  http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x00000124

Please start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

In order to provide a complete analysis, Please run this report collecting tool: (from the pinned topic at the top of the forum)   http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/
FYI - I don't often use the Perfmon report, so if it doesn't work please just let me know.
NOTE:  On problem systems it can take up to 20 minutes for the log files to complete.  Please be patient and let it run.

If you still have problems with it running, there's an alternate tool here (direct download link):  https://github.com/blueelvis/BSOD-Inspector/releases/download/1.0.5/BSODInspector-1.0.5.exe

NOTE:
Please zip up the (.ZIP) files - do not use .RAR or other compression utilities.
.ZIP is the type file that can be uploaded to the forums.

Thanks for the response.

For some reason, I am not able to generate report via Perfmon as there's a message that says "The operator or administrator has refused the request". I am using an administrator login and I also made sure that Performance Logs and Alerts service is running and start up type is Automatic. Safe mode did not help either as well as other suggested instruction online. Hence, I wasn't able to generarte perfmon report. Is there other alternative I can avail?

I've attached the sysnative file zip without the perfmon zip since it didn't work for me. Looking forward to your next response. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it appears that the system has pirated software.
Please get a legitimate copy installed and we'll be glad to help.

Here's suggestions on how to ensure that your version is legitimate:  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/genuine

Please be aware that we may not be able to fix it (as the hacks that were done to activate it will cause the OS to behave differently than we expect it to). If that's the case, our efforts to help may just waste your time. Secondly, the forum rules prohibit assisting with pirated software - so the topic would be closed if that is the case.

As a courtesy, I will offer an analysis of your issues using the reports you provided.
I will not answer any questions about the analysis until the system is made legitimate.
If you do make it legitimate, please submit a new set of reports for us to check.

Just FYI, sometimes the owner won't know about this.  So here's 2 scenarios that might ring a bell:
- if they had a "friend" help with the computer - and the "friend" installed a pirated copy.
- or they used a copy that they had from another OEM computer.  The OEM license is tied to the hardware that it came from - so you can't just use it on another system (that means that it's pirated).

And here's the analysis:

Your UEFI/BIOS (version F6) dates from 2014.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

As stated earlier, this is likely a hardware problem.

One of the memory dumps in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report shows it to be an I/O error related to "hardware_disk" - so run diagnostics on your hard drive.

I apologize, I didn't know that this has pirated OS since it did not notify me ever that the software is not genuine, and now I need to get back with the retailer who offered this packaged system. I totally understand and respect the forum rules and i really appreciate the advice given despite the situation. Guess have to figure this out myself since currently I need a working system and it might take time before i can install a new OS. Please have this thread closed if necessary. Again, thanks, and more power. :)
