Hello everyone,

Well I bought a new msi r9 270x hawk. I have an msi a78m e45 motherboard with bios updated. My psu is a coolermaster 550v. I thought that it was as simple as installing the hardware and the drivers. However, when I have the graphocs card installed the pc wont power up. The cpu and psu fans only spin slightly and stop. Has anyone got any clue what I can do to make my r9 work?
Let me know if you need more info on pc specs.

The spinning of the fans on start-up and then stopping is a fault being detected by the power supply.  Shorts on the MOBO to chassis, or misalignment of the card.  Does the MOBO have on board video??  Try that first before installing the optional video card.  If that works, the video card maybe bad.
