Okay, so I have a decently old PC, about 6-7 years old and then I have this 2-3 year old laptop which somehow has 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 RAM while my PC-the one I use the most, only has 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 RAM. So my question is, Can I grab the RAM from my Laptop and put it in my PC? Also my second question is that can my Motherboard in my PC handle the 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 RAM that is in my laptop?

My Motherboard on my PC is...

HP Pavillion 620887-001 Alvorix RS880 785GB SB710 Socket AM3 DDR3

-How Much RAM can my PC Handle?

-Can I replace the DDR3 RAM between both of the consoles?

Your laptop has SO DIMM that won't fit on your desktop motherboard.

What is the specific HP system model, please?

Generally speaking...the RAM modules used in laptops...is not the same type as the RAM modules used in a desktop.

Okay, I took out the RAM from both of the consoles and compared the both and they turned out to be totally different. Looks like I can't have more RAM on my better PC...
