Nvidia Shadowplay Alternative?

Is there any software out there that has the same feature as Nvidia shadowplay (see quote below) that you can change how long is recorded like from 20 minutes to 5 minutes, for example, and has options for quality of the video, and supports recording of any game? Preferably free software.

 

"ShadowPlay records up to the last 20 minutes of your gameplay. Just pulled off an amazing stunt? Hit a hotkey and the game video will be saved to disk. Or, use the manual mode to capture video for as long as you like."

I don't recall it having the ability to save "replays", how do I do that?

Hi, you mean set a recording task or something like that? And control stop or start by hotkeys? Is that you want?

Go read this post and see whether you need something. its site always publishes some recording concerned posts and sometimes tools really help me.
