I bought a new Acer E1-532 laptop last week, because my HP crashed. This product had good reviews online so I decided to purchase it. However, it has a lot of trouble staying connected to the internet. It doesn't seem to reach very far. I also often have to reset my router from my laptop, because it loses connection. It will often show that my laptop is connected to the router, but the router isn't connected to the internet even though other computers aren't having a problem connecting. I never had this problem with my old laptop. When I look up network adapters I see I have Broadcom NetLink ™ Gigabit Ethernet and Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter. I don't know if these are junk or not, but I've never had a problem with laptops connecting to the internet for 10 years and I can't imagine the technology on this new computer would be any worse. Thanks.

The Acer E1-532 is a couple years old. Did you buy it refurbished? If not, what Operating System(OS) are you running? Windows 7?

Also, when the wireless dies, can wired computers get online? If no wired devices, try ethernet from the laptop.

My first suggestion would be to make sure the wireless adapter's driver is up to date, but need to know your OS to make specific suggestions.
