I had installed photoshop elements a long time ago.  I encountered a problem in which when I started the program it replaces all of the program file icons to the photoshop elements icon.  If I click on the icon, it will start the photoshop elements program.

I recently downloaded a trial version of the software (Version 14).  When I initially started using the program, all of my icons were available.  I could minimize photoshop elements and access the other programs through their icon whether it be through the taskbar, desktop or start menu.  I don't know if it changed when I closed the program or logged off, but again, I have all photoshop elements icons for my programs.  Any other type - excel, pdf, or other files are not effected.

I did a scan for viruses to no avail.

Once I delete the photoshop elements program, I am able to access the programs through their icons.

Any assistance would be much appreciated!
