I'm facing problems with connection to internet. Always shows Network connected but no internet.

Shows error message DNS not responding.

Steps tried

Given DNS manually ie, 202.67.220.220 & 202.67.222.222

flushdns

release & renew

register dns

winsock reset

reset log

then entered physical address manually in network adapters.

DNS and default gateway are same that is of my router & also pinging to it but not pinging to google or other sites.

Even tried formatting the computer but no use. And even tried with Windows 7 ultimate, professional & Windows 10 still no go.

Can this be the problem with HDD?

Any updates please.

Hi,

Have you tried using any alternate internet connection that is not coming via your router (like a mobile or dongle or a different wireless network)?

Please make sure that the DSL LED on modem (for landline router) is lit.

And even tried with Windows 7 ultimate, professional & Windows 10 still no go

Please clarify if this is on same computer or 3 different computers.

How do you connect to internet? Is it like :

Internet Service Provider - Modem/Router - wired - Computer?

Have you tried resetting modem?

Thank you for your reply

Connecting is like

Internet Service Provider - Modem/Router - wireless - Computer

This same wireless connection is working fine with other two (02) laptops, only this computer is having this problem.

As you have said, Modem/Router - wireless - Computer, I suggest you to connect the computer to the router using an Ethernet cable and check.

Also, please make sure that the wireless and wired interface drivers are installed and up-to-date.
If you are unsure how to do it, please provide the make and model of laptop or the motherboard model (in case of desktop).

Please download  Minitoolbox. and tick "Select All" and run the tool.
You will get a log (MTB.txt) in the same folder as of MiniTooBox. Please post it in your next reply.

Please update on the below:

connect the computer to the router using an Ethernet cable and check.

Also, please make sure that the wireless and wired interface drivers are installed and up-to-date.

Can you ping any IP outside your network like 202.67.220.220? How about the router at 192.168.1.1?

Thank you all for your replies.

Now i'm getting the connection properly. What I done is, since I got fed up, I tried regrading the system to windows xp, after installing windows xp it's getting connection and everything is fine. What I plan now is after a weeks time i'll upgrade back to Windows 7 professional and recheck. Will update you guys once I upgrade and check for net connection.
