I am helping a friend that has a Toshiba Laptop that he cannot get into.  He has forgotten the password and I can't seem to find a way to come up with a way to help.

I do have a password recovery tool that has helped me gain access to Windows 10 and Windows 7 programs.  I can't seem to get the disk to boot into cd I have.

The UEFI method of booting to Windows 8 won't let me even though I have gone into the BIOS and reset the disk to run from the CD.  Does anyone know how I can get my CD to boot.  I have seen a technician do it but I am not sure how.

Thanks for any and all assistance.

Make sure SecureBoot is disabled in UEFI. You may need to enable a setting called Legacy or CSM boot and disable any setting called Quickboot or Fastboot.

On a Toshiba you should be able to access the boot menu by tapping F12 at boot. You may need to enable the F12 Boot setting in UEFI.
