Hi all!

This is kind of an extension of this question...http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/623238/shift-auto-copy-out-of-control-windows-10-can-i-disable-it/..which I haven't cured, yet...maybe...it still pastes whatever I last copied over and over when I press the shift key...but not as often...an example is pasted at the bottom of this. I can get around it if I clear the Windows clipboard in a command prompt, but it's a pain, and very time consuming.

The consensus was that I should either: A} Disable the laptop keyboard {didn't work}, or B} Do a clean install of Windows 10, because my laptop keyboard started acting like we spilled water on it during Microsoft's shove to convert everyone. I'm sure it was a bad installation for several reasons, including massive issues with my {new} USB keyboard/mouse.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem or another one, and thought it would be best to post a new question. Hope that's okay!

So...every time I move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard {USB only, the laptop keyboard is toast}, a system interrupt appears on the task manager. There's lots of other weird mouse/keyboard behavior, and I frequently have to do a hard boot because it freezes.

This is probably a stupid question and I hope you'll forgive me. I haven't slept in nearly two weeks just trying to get some semblance of real work together to appease my editors. If the system interrupt is indicative of Windows 10 misreading the hardware/installing the wrong drivers, and because I'm almost positive Microsoft fried my laptop keyboard with their...tactics...is it possible trying to do a clean install of Windows 10 could fry the laptop hardware altogether?

I'm pretty sure I can't revert to Windows 7 because of the bad installation, and no recovery disks from the former owner. I think it's apparent I need to get a new system very soon, but I don't have time to set one up right now and still meet my deadlines. I just want to be able to get through the next couple of weeks, and I can't do it using just my tablet.

Any suggestion...even if it starts with, "You're being an idiot..." is welcome.

I used the shift key here without thinking. If anyone else has this problem....

I resolved it by disabling Windows 10's attempts to control the cursor size, blink rate, etc.,I also set the "auto scroll" to "off" and the touchpad to "No delay-always on."

Hope that helps!
