I bought a new SSD hard drive but I'm unsure of which power chord to use

For example, I have the Intel SSD 540 series and a Seagate 2TB HDD. The Seagate uses P8. Can the Intel use the P7 without damaging the motherboard? Should they be switched? Should the configuration be something completely different? I appreciate any insight into the issue. For the record, my computer is an Acer Predator G3620.

Power is power, as long as the cable fits you can use either one.
