I am trying to reistall office 2003 products. I get the following error when I try to reinstall, " the patch program could not be opended "

I have checked the web , but I can not understand any of the solutions

I have downloaded a program called msicu2.exe opening to get to a Windows Installer Cleanup utility, but i can not find this utility on my PC

I would apprreciate any help

Thanks

I managed to run the windows installer cleaner and deleted the "old" version of office 2003.

I can know load the new office and I get as far input the product key and alomost finishing the install.

Near the end of the install it fails and I get the generic windows has encountered and error , do you want to send a copy to microsoft. No error number .

Any ideas on how I solve this problem ?

thanks

I'm not sure this is the error you received, but try the solutions in this MSKB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903772
