When I wish to send an email I go to my Yahoo mail page, click on "Compose" and enter the first letter of the email address in the "To" line of the person I wish to send the email to.

A list of email addresses come up and I choose the appropriate one.

No problems so far.

If I return to "Compose" and put the same letter in the "To" line but add another letter, such as an "a", I get a load of addresses I have no knowledge off.

How are they getting into the system? and can I do anything to stop it.

Thank you

The addresses appearing have some connection with your account, you have sent mail to them before. Knowingly or unknowingly.

Please follow the Yahoo guide to remove them.

They are accounts you have knowingly, or uknowinlg talked to. As TsVk! has said.

They may also be random accounts starting with that letter.
