I am using a custom built computer that I made 2 months ago. Everything was good at that point, it could run 144 hz in the game I was playing.

Then suddenly, 1-2 weeks ago I started to get extreme lag. It would come and go. It would give me 10 fps, then occasionally give me near 50 fps for maybe 5 seconds.

Now, I can't even open the game. When I open it, it closes immediately. The game is called Elsword and I am able to open it on my other computers so it is not a problem with the game.

Also I realized something called WindowsLiveUpdate kept on popping out whenever I used Internet Explorer. I disabled it through Task Manager's startup and now it stops popping out. However, "Internet Explorer has stopped working" still occasionally pops out. It doesn't close anything when I press "Cancel" (usually IE closes or refreshes). And usually I can just go back to what I was doing after pressing cancel. But I would really want to know what is causing this to happen..

What are the chances I have been infected by something? I have CCleaner, malwarebytes, and Norton installed with malwarebytes and norton constantly on.
