I'm currently using safe mode in case it gets shut down again. I keep getting error on "perfmon /report" so no zip file. It all happened a year ago when I was playing Battlefield 4 and it crashed while I was out for 2 minutes. The power switch kept blinking and it wouldn't reboot so I had to pull the plug. After a successful boot it would get BSOD every time after 10-60 min. So I decided to re-install and wipe out everything. Then I called the guys at the computer store and inspected my system over a week but couldn't find the cause. They found some problem on Plextor SSD after running HD Tune. I've visited AMD customer service myself and there was no problem with their VGA. I've rarely played games since and I've been cleaning registries and tweaked some settings. I've wiped out programs using Revo which I shouldn't have done including things above. Then three days ago BSOD happened again. A list of programs and past BSODs are listed below

-dxgmms1.sys, atikmdag.sys (BSOD before Sep. re-install. I've only captured 2 out of 5)

-No driver or application updates for over 6 months (Windows Updates incl.)

-BIOS update, HostsMan, Intel utilities, MSXML. Visual Studio

-ESET Smart Security 8, Malwarebytes, Ace Utilities, adwcleaner, CCleaner, ComboFix, Diskeeper, HitmanPro, JRT jv16, Revo, rkill, sc-cleaner

Windos 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Full retail. 1.5 years usage. re-installed last September.

Conclusion

2 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. No offending third party drivers have been found. Connsider using WhoCrashed Professional which offers more detailed analysis using symbol resolution. Also configuring your system to produce a full memory dump may help you.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.Attached File  SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip   1.32MB   1 downloads

ntoskrnl.exe (also seen as ntkrnlpa.exe, ntkrnlmp.exe, or ntkrpamp.exe) is the kernel (core) of the Windows operating system.  It is protected by security features and the Windows System File Checker.  As such, if ntoskrnl.exe was to blame, you'd be experiencing many more problems other than the occasional BSOD.

In most cases ntoskrnl.exe was blamed because a driver (typically a 3rd party driver) has corrupted the memory space that ntoskrnl.exe considers as it's own.  When this happens, ntoskrnl.exe typically finds unknown data (from the 3rd party driver) in it's memory space.  At this point the OS panics and throws a BSOD to prevent damage to the system.

If the culprit (the offending 3rd party driver) hasn't exited yet, then a BSOD analyst may be able to find traces of it in the reports/dumps.  If the culprit has exited, then the chase is on and further tests/reports will be needed to help identify what actually caused it.

I've started Windows in normal mode and perfmon report worked. I've uploaded the sysnative.zip on my first post. Did you download and review it?

I've just had two BSODs again without any dump file created. I was able to capture one which is win32k.sys

I apologize for not seeing the Sysnative report in your first post.

I'm a bit visually impaired and sometimes I miss things  :0(

Only 218 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 350-400 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

These devices have problem in Device Manager:

Security Processor Loader Driver    ROOT\LEGACY_SPLDR\0000    This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
ehdrv    ROOT\LEGACY_EHDRV\0000    This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
epfwwfp    ROOT\LEGACY_EPFWWFP\0000    This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.

The first device is a security device for Windows.  Getting all of the Windows Updates should fix this.

The other 2 devices are related to your ESET security.  Please: download and install the latest compatile version of the program, then reboot and check Device Manager to see if it's been fixed.

MSI Afterburner (along with EVGA Precision and Riva Tuner) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys).  Please un-install them immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting.  Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

First off, I've wanted to say thank you. The big list of unstable drivers and programs helped a lot. I've uninstalled MSI Afterburner and programs that aren't used often like Sapphire TRIXX, Kodi. ESET Smart Security was uninstalled so there's no AV running. I didn't get a single blue screen in normal mode and tried to check for Windows Updates which took over 2.5 hours. However it would take forever to download the updates. I deleted everything in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution to fix this issue but checking the updates taked too long. So I've downloaded KB3172605 July 2016 update rollup. Before installing, I've uninstalled other programs that I don't use or could crash the system; Adblock Plus for IE, ASRock App Shop, Epic Games, Hostsman(.hosts file back to its default state), Origin, PFPortCheck, RSSOwl, Skype, WinCDEmu

3rd party drivers' related programs are listed below. Also there are driver unrelated programs that I'm planning to uninstall. I'm planning to install the latest version.

-ActiveX(AhnLab), AMD, Intel drivers(I217/ME/RST/USB 3.0), Malwarebytes PowerDVD, TotalMedia Theatre + Battle.net, Browsers(Firefox/Chrome), Flash, Java, MSXML, NET Framework, Revo, Visual C++, Visual Studio, WinRAR, WinSCP

WinCDEmu didn't uninstall properly so there are still some files remaining(Start Menu). You've wrote down "dfmirage.sys" in 3rd party drivers and I don't have the slightest clue which program may use this. I've installed the update rollup and Windows Update check finishes in 2 min. Every important update is successfully installed. I'm not sure whether I need to install "KB2901983" "KB3102433" which is NET Framework included in optional updates. I didn't find any other optional updates useful.

Here is list(KB): 2952664
                         3013531
                         3068708
                         3080079
                         3080149
                         3102429
                         3107998
                         3118401
                         3121255
                         3133977
                         3137061
                         3138378
                         3138901
                         3140245
                         3147071
                         3161102
                         3170735

I have some other questions. What other programs to run for checking system stability? Software to check for faulty hardware? What precautions to take to prevent things like BSOD? Microsoft Security Essentials as AV and is this necessary? Other important things to know?

First off, there are some issues with W7 updates that make it take a long time.

At other times, it wont' work or it will fail.

In some cases I find it impossible to tell which Optional Updates are needed and which aren't.

For example, the .NET framework is used by so many programs that it's likely to be needed - but that's not a 100% certainty.
As such I usually just install ALL optional updates.

Here's what I got from the perfmon on dfmirage:

root\cimv2:SELECT * FROM Win32_VideoController 0x0     Returned Objects
Win32_VideoController.DeviceID="VideoController1"   Property Value AdapterCompatibility DemoForge Availability 3 ConfigManagerErrorCode 0 CurrentBitsPerPixel 32 CurrentHorizontalResolution 1920 CurrentNumberOfColors 4294967296 CurrentNumberOfColumns 0 CurrentNumberOfRows 0 CurrentRefreshRate 60 CurrentScanMode 4 CurrentVerticalResolution 1080 Description Mirage Driver DitherType 0 DriverDate 20080111000000.000000-000 DriverVersion 2.0.105.0 InfFilename oem55.inf InfSection DFMirage MaxRefreshRate 75 MinRefreshRate 50 Monochrome 0 Name Mirage Driver VideoArchitecture 5 VideoMemoryType 2 VideoModeDescription 1920 x 1080 x 4294967296 colors

Check this search for Demo Forge:  https://www.google.com/search?q=demo+forge&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

I suggest these programs to check the system:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please remember that software to check for faulty hardware is (IMO) not 100% reliable - but it is the best thing that we have for it (besides switching it out for other hardware).

Now, as to preventing BSOD's:

BSOD's are mostly due to problem drivers, so the most important things to do are:
1.  Get ALL available Windows Updates.  It may take several trips to get them all
2.  Get ALL available, compatible updates for your system from the manufacturer's website (to include BIOS/UEFI).
3.  Get ALL available, compatible updates for the programs and any additional hardware installed on your computer from the developer's website

While BSOD's are huge PITA when they're happening, they just aren't all that common.

As such, I tend to let things go until I have problems - then I scramble to update EVERYTHING.

You need an antivirus.  But, even the most effective antivirus is worthless if you don't surf the web safely.
Here's 2 antivirus review sites that I like:
https://www.av-test.org/
http://www.av-comparatives.org/

The most important things to know are:

- if you don't know what it is or if it's safe, then don't click on it.

- if it's in your way, then try to close it by right clicking on it's icon in the TaskBar and select "Close"

- if you can't get out of something or can't close it - shut the computer down.  Reboot to see if it goes away, then start full system scans with antivirus'

Not so sure whether to start a new thread or ask here so sorry about that. I'm just about to uninstall AMD Crimson and uninstall NET Framework plus all of the Visual C++. However some programs don't uninstall completely like Portforward.com, RSSOwl, WinCDEmu,MarkAny and ActiveX Controls in IE add-ons. I've tried Revo Uninstaller and some of them worked. Can I manually remove them or should I use registry cleaner like Ace Utilities and CCleaner? I have not updated the utilities for months. "dfmirage.sys" driver seemed to be installed from one of the ActiveX programs so I uninstalled it in device manager. I also want to completely uninstall other obsolete drivers. I am planning to install the latest AMD display driver after a registry cleanup and do a stress test. Then instant flash BIOS and move to Ubuntu 16.04. Also thinking of buying a used 512GB SSD for Windows 10 gaming dual booted with Ubuntu. Some questions below.

1. Does Linux automatically install drivers? Is it much better to stress test hardware in Linux? Do I have to cleanup some things specifically like disk wipe in Windows 7 before moving to Ubuntu?

2. ASRock doesn't support SAMSUNG RAM? No drivers in Realtek's site. Out of date Intel drivers in ASRock; INF driver, Intel Control Center, ME, Network Connections, Recovery Agent, RST, Smart Connect, USB 3.0 Host Controller. I only want to download LAN driver without its bundle program - Network Connections. I've searched about other drivers but there are mixed opinions on whether to install or not. This always confuses me and I'm not sure whether this is essential like LAN. As for the USB 3.0, it keeps running in background taking up resources.

3. No recent firmware for PX-128M3 or WD10EZEX. G-Sync monitor, keyboard and mice - require updates?

4. I have a lot of Visual C++ and NET Framework because of games and AMD software. Can I just download the latest version and run in backwards compatibility or does Visual C++ need multiple versions for stability?

I don't know if Linux automatically installs drivers.

I don't know what AsRock supports in the way of RAM

There are plenty of drivers on the Realtek site:  http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

Most of the needed drivers will be available on the AsRock support website for your motherboard.

Most people don't use specific monitor drivers.

If you want them, visit the monitor manufacturer's site.

Keyboard and mice are the same thing - visit the manufacturer's site.

If they don't have them, then there's not much you can do - other than use the built in Windows drivers

I specialize in kernel mode troubleshooting.
Although I can work in user mode, my suggestions aren't very effective.
I'd suggest posting in the W7 forums for more advice on .NET and VisualC++

I just got two BSoDs in a row when running firefox. I've ran WhoCrashed but no dump files were found. PC just restarts under 3 seconds in the middle of creating dump file. 2nd bluescreen caused monitor to go blank and the power button keeps flashing over five times. Yesterday I've found (C7) Interface CRC Error Count in HD Tune. My Plextor drive has three error counts. I was planning to switch Windows 10 and I have no idea what I should do now.

The easiest thing to do here would be to try another hard drive

If you don't have another hard drive to try, you may want to purchase one from a shop that will let you return it (for your money back) if it's not needed.

Then reinstall Windows and see if the errors persist.

SMART readings are just predictors - they aren't diagnostics (and, IMO, are often wrong).

AFAIK - there are not any decent diagnostics for SSD's (other than replacing them).
