Hi, a recent issue for my partner's laptop is in signing into her Hotmail account. She has Win 7 sp 1 64 bit, the same as my pc.

I can automatically sign-in but she has to type her username each time, which is a recent event.

Have searched on the Microsoft forums and sites, which does have posts relating to this problem, but no solution.

Does anyone have an answer to this issue?

Appreciate any help with this.

Is she using the web interface for Hotmail access or an email client such as Thunderbird, Outlook, Windows Live Mail, etc?

'Is she using the web interface for Hotmail access or an email client such as Thunderbird, Outlook, Windows Live Mail, etc?'
Not sure what this means, forgive my lack of knowledge.
Basically, I set up our accounts and access Hotmail through Google Chrome, using Hotmail as our Home Page.
Hope this answers your question.

What website/link do you use to sign into Hotmail when in chrome? Login.live.com? If so, when you sign in, be sure the "Keep me signed in" box is checked. Also make sure she isn't opening it in a "Incognito window". Finally make sure cookies are enabled. See here for instructions on that.
