How to wipe a hard that is locked

So I have accidentally forgotten the password to my HP 2000 and none of the keys that should get me into booting menu f1-f12 work. I have nothing on my computer so I just want to start over.

Sounds like you need to reset the BIOS password.  From limited googleing....   After three attempts to enter a password, you should get an error code.  You will need to provide this error code to HP to obtain the default password.

Follow these steps: 

Keys most commonly used on HP machines to enter setup include F10 and ESC. On some HP computers F1, F2, F6, or F11 will open the gates to the BIOS. On HP Tablet PCs F10 or F12 will get you into the Setup. HP has compiled information on its BIOS here.
