Before I lost my settings my Chrome browser was hijacked by a phishing page that was set to my home page. It looked like an official Google page and requested my Google name and password but it looked off so I did not give it my information. Plus I was already signed in to my Google account so why would it be asking me to sign in, unless it was a fraudulent page? There was a user listed in my Chrome settings called "sneakypete" I have no idea who or what that is but it sounded suspicious so I deleted it from the Chrome settings page and that is when I lost all my Chrome settings, bookmarks, extensions etc.

Below is my hijack this log. I don't know why it shows FIREFOX at the top I didn't have Firefox running when I ran the HT scan.

I am running Windows 10.

I went back to the Chrome settings and deleted the current user called "person 1" and the browser restarted with all bookmarks and extensions restored, but the phishing home page is back. The URL of this page is:

chrome://chrome-signin/?access_point=6&reason=0

I'm not 100% sure if its legit or not.

I did run Malwarebytes but that didn't seem to do much. It reported only a couple of non-malware items.
