I can Copy files from the desktop to HD but can't do it vise versa?

I can Copy files from my desktop computer to external HD Seagate Expansion 1.5 TB, but can not Copy from HD to the desktop?

  1. Did you got some notice?
  2. Do you try to do using administrator privileges?

NB! It is not the same, If You are user in administrator privileges.

NB! It is not the same, If You are user in administrator privileges.

 

No an error message. I use admin account.

check you external drive setting.. it might have something to do with it...

I think so,  and I have tried few settings but no success yet.

When I did Paste (folder) on a desktop or laptop a Shortcut for the folder from HD Seagate Expansion 1.5 TB was created and the content of this folder can be visible only if the external HD is connected to the desktop or laptop.

When do "Paste" (folder) on a desktop I have only option Create shortcut for the folder.

Click on a file in the external seagate to highlight it then press Ctrl + C.  Click on the desktop then press Ctrl + V. Does the file copy to the desktop?

Same result, nothing happens.

Do you have any problems opening the files on the external drive?
