I had Java 1.7 installed on my computer (Windows 10).  An application required Java 1.8 so I downloaded the newest version of Java and attempted to install however it would start a background task then the task would disappear within a second.  I tried all types of different versions (newer, older, online, offline, JDK, SE) and none of them will even open the installation wizard.  I disabled firewall and tried again but nothing helped.  Any advice? I've searched everywhere and can't find any sort of help for my issue.  Literally nothing pops up not even a command prompt or dialog screen.  Please help!!

Thanks so much :)
