I don't know if this is related to a previous issue or if it is seperate linked here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/608978/graphics-issue-after-malware-removal/

But I wanted to know whether I should worry about

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]
(c) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>

Can I get support for posting cbs logs? any help would be great

Hi

Could you attach the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log?

Note: If the file is too big, please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Anyways, I don't think those graphic glitches are related to system files being corrupt, but rather, by Open Broadcaster recording the game. Try without launching Open Broadcaster, and see if you experience those "flashes" again

Hm...

Now I got a clearer look. It seems to be a problem with the game "Osu!" itself:

https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/t/110440

https://www.reddit.com/r/osugame/comments/3tfw9r/random_black_flashes_during_gameplay_that_lead_up/

Follow the suggestions on the links above, and see if they fix your problem

As for the SFC issues, I have created a fix for it:

SFCFix Fix

This fix is very specific for mariowh's computer. Trying this fix on your own computer might damage your computer. If you are after assistance, create a new thread, and you will be assisted shortly.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and move the executable on your Desktop.

Download SFCFix.zip from here and move the archive to your Desktop

Note: Make sure that the file is named SFCFix.zip, do not rename it.

Save any work you have open, and close every programs

Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it

mMabJGT.gif

SFCFix will launch, let it complete

Once done, a file will appear on your Desktop, called SFCFix.txt

Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply

Now, we run SFC scan to verify:

SFC Scan

1. Right-click on the Start w8start.png button and select Command Prompt (Admin)

2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter

sfc /scannow

3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter.

copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"

4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Right-click on this file and choose Send To...Compressed (zipped folder). Please upload this zipped file CBS.zip to this thread

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Here is the new log and another video too show similar issues with "Terraria"

I think I have sort of recreated and figured out what caused it, which might mean something.

In order for this flashing to ever happen, I had a malware infect the computer which was previously properly removed,

but not before having run those specific programs like terraria/DFO/getamped 2 which are mostly games, I don't remember what else did it infect, But I have reinstalled all of them with no improvement.

I have read through the possible bug fixes but I am sure those issues are not the same,

since

latest update was, left my game lag, and the screen flashes and sometimes change different colors
It's been running fine 'till the latest update. It flashes, changes and lags as soon as the game starts.

it does not lag when I run the game without interaction. The cursor/left mouse button triggers the flashing mainly.

and

my screen starts randomly flashing/flickering a slightly darker colour of my screen that builds up to an eventual forced retry of the song I was playing if I continue to play.

was solved because of

since remapping the 'quick retry' button to a different key again, I haven't had any forced restarts and the black flashes appear
*a key mapped to either ~ or ctrl+u

And I wasn't even playing the game actively (being in the menu), so that key mapping doesn't even get used, nor did it retry anything.

Hi

Seems to be an issue with the graphics drivers conflicting, or with the drivers having a bug. Let's get a dxdiag report for that:

Press Windows + R

Type dxdiag and press enter

Let the progress indicator (near the bottom left) finish

Click Save all information...

Save it on the Desktop and attach it in your next reply

You also did not run the SFCFix script here:

SFCFix Fix

Do so, and then run SFC and post the CBS log and the SFCFix log

A big problem is that your card is no longer supported, so there won't be any newer drivers available :( As for SFC:

Here's the rest of the files to fix  :):

SFCFix Fix

This fix is very specific for mariowh's computer. Trying this fix on your own computer might damage your computer. If you are after assistance, create a new thread, and you will be assisted shortly.

mMabJGT.gif

SFCFix will launch, let it complete

Once done, a file will appear on your Desktop, called SFCFix.txt

Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply

Now, we run another SFC scan to verify:

SFC Scan
1. Right-click on the Start w8start.png button and select Command Prompt (Admin)

I don't see any corruption reported by SFC.

As for the flashing game issues, could you uninstall the drivers, use DDU to remove any leftover parts of the drivers, and then install the drivers again? Do the games still flash?

I've attempted to follow it your instructions, but I am not sure if the way I did it is correct,

I downloaded DDU and let it uninstall my graphics drivers and then I reinstalled them, the problem with that is now I'm getting some more glitches going on my browser responsiveness on top of the previous glitches.

Did you mean to manually remove the drivers and then use DDU?

Which drivers did you install? Many manufacturers customize drivers to make sure everything is compatible. Rather than getting them from AMD, I suggest you to get it from ASUS

Yeah, you are quite right, I got it fom the AMD site, should I do it again with attempting to install it from ASUS?

Uninstall the drivers using AMD Uninstall utility, run DDU to remove any remnants, and then install the graphic drivers from ASUS
