Can I save Favourite threads in a folder rather than on the Favourites Bar?

There are many threads that I'd like to save e.g. 'Win10 How To' threads so that I can easily & quickly find them later.

If I save them on my Favourites Bar (by clicking on the Favicon), I'll quickly run out of space.

Can I save them in a Desktop folder instead? If so, how, please?

In Windows that is very easy. Just create a shortcut to each particular thread that you want a link to, create a desktop folder, and drag the links to the folder. People have been doing this for many years.

Thanks anyway but Bookmarking saves it in Favourites, right-hand side via the Star (in IE). But I'd have too many so I'd like to save it in a folder. I'll now look at Rocky Bennett's suggestion.

By chance I hovered over the icon to the left of the URL address box above and saw the message "Drag to taskbar to pin site" so having minimised the screen ( 'restore down') I dragged it instead to my desktop folder. Thank you RB and sorry that I can't mark as "Answer"!
